Biography
Born in 1972 in Hunan Province, Liu Bolun graduated from the Faculty of Stage Design of the Shanghai Theatre Academy in 1998. Liu’s work, widely shown in solo and group exhibitions in China, reveals his concern over the tension between human beings and nature. His recent exhibitions include ‘Detachment’, iSGO Gallery, Shanghai (2019); ‘Defendant Zoo’, Step Art, Shanghai (2018); and ‘The Defendant’, Fingerprint Gallery, Beijing (2018). Liu Bolun currently lives and works in Shanghai.
