Martin Heidegger wrote, “No matter how fragmented our everyday existence may appear to be, it always deals with beings in a unity of the ‘whole’, if only in a shadowy way.” Focusing on everyday objects, Still Life series is characterised by representing these fragments of life in a delicate and realistic manner. Applying tempera with a subtle palette, the artist skilfully restores the texture and form of objects, revealing his memory and life stories with a nostalgic and poetic aesthetics.
