In this absurdist durational performance, a man removes every leaf from a large tree. We see him climbing the tree, looping a rope over branches to bring them down to his level, standing on a ladder, perched in the cleft between two branches and wielding secateurs attached to a long pole. We watch the light fade, and then we see him begin this mysterious task once again on a new day. Is this an allegory of futility? Perhaps, rather, it is a paean of praise to human determination and ingenuity.
