Biography
Born in Gutian, Fujian province, collection artist Chen Weicai graduated from the sculpture department at Chengdu Academy of Fine Arts (Sichuan Academy) in 2010. A member of the China Sculpture Institute and a council member of Sichuan Sculpture Institute, Chen’s sculptural practice includes installation and performance. He has held solo exhibitions around China, and has participated in several group exhibitions in Europe, most recently at the Kommunale Galerie in Berlin for ‘Future Games’ curated by Li Rui in 2019. Chen is currently based in Chengdu.
