Biography
Qin Qi was born in 1975 in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province. He studied painting at the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts in Shenyang, graduating with an MA from the Department of Oil Painting in 2002. His work exemplifies many of the concerns expressed by artists of his generation, who navigate an uncertain and changing world in China. His work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions in China and internationally. Qin Qi lives and works between Shenyang, where he teaches at the Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, and Beijing.
