Biography
Chi Shilin was born in Laiyang, Shandong Province in 1991. After completing his undergraduate degree in the Experimental Art Department of Beijing’s Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2014, he continued his studies in this field and was awarded a master’s degree in 2019. He is interested in the calm and meditative experience brought by repetitive movements. Utilising a range of diverse materials, his work draws upon his environment and continually changing social context. He has participated in several curated exhibitions in China. Chi Shilin currently lives and works in Beijing.
