Yang Xinjia, a multidisciplinary artist born in Puning, Guangdong in 1983, is known for his diverse range of artistic practices, including painting, photography, installation, video, and conceptual art. Through his works, he explores hidden relationships between objects and incidents, transforming and reconstructing these connections based on investigations of hierarchies and folds. His projects, such as "Dream Apartment" and "Public Hotel," showcase his artistic vision, while his solo exhibition "Things Are" captures the overlooked aspects of everyday objects. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, he initiated the "Play with My Phone" project, archiving social media posts to record the impact of the global crisis. Additionally, his video installation "30 Years Younger" presents a hyperactive portrayal of contemporary internet culture.
