He founded a number of different (fictional) brands to present aspects of today’s cultural forms and social landscapes in the manner of publicity materials. ‘Liquid Health: We Define Nutrition’, for example, takes the form of a satirical promotional video about a health and beauty drink or supplement. In 2017, Li Hanwei established the online contemporary art space Slime Engine, which he manages with Liu Shuzhen and Fang Yang. Slime Engine is dedicated to the development of new and innovative forms of art creation, exhibition, curating, and viewing.
