Stein's Treasure is the sequel series to Chinese Acrobatics in Manhattan, revolving around Aihua’s life stories. As the descendant of a wealthy Jewish Stein family in Shanghai, Aihua was adopted by Shanghai acrobats to protect her life and keep the family’s secret. Growing up an excellent acrobat, she travelled to many places in China and overseas to perform Chinese Acrobatics. Through Aihua’s journey, the artist depicts local cultures and customs from the 1970s, referencing cultural exchanges and communications that happened in recent Chinese history.
