Notes
Huang Zan-Lun’s work explores the uneasy relationship between human beings and the machines we have designed, suggesting that we face a post-human future in which robots may well render flesh and blood humans redundant. This child, seen in profile, seems to be a trans-human – part human, part android. Huang plays with our fears and desires in relation to the paradoxical utopian/dystopian possibilities of an ‘I, Robot’ future.
