Notes
In a tribute to Taiwanese artist Tehching Hsieh’s important One Year Performance 1978-1979, in 2012 Luxury Logico spent twenty-four hours without sleeping, making a calendar that divided one day into 365 units, each representing one twenty-four-hour day. A Performance of One Day (2012) takes the form of a diary-like book and a video documenting this measuring of time, intentionally recalling the durational performance works of the late 1960s and 1970s. This work was part of ‘The Fruition Project’, a riff on the relationship between artists and collectors, the dynamics of the art market, and the commodification of art.
