Plodding in place, a man and a horse trek through an unfolding landscape not of mountains and streams but of emotions. The artist dropped ink onto wet glass and used a brush to guide it as it swirled and seeped. Begun at a time of depression, the “spiritual journey” took over a year to paint and film, she says. Near the end, the hand that brushed the two travellers into the scene intervenes again, wiping a pool of darkness into a clean white moon.
