The Scatter Perspective series reveals Zhou’s restlessly eclectic approach to materials and techniques, and his innovative applications of new technologies. Scatter Perspective 1 and 2 (2014), are immensely detailed etchings of insects against a Chinese landscape background, with superimposed mathematical diagrams, on stainless steel. Scatter Perspective 8 and 9 (2016), extend the use of stainless steel into relief sculptures with laser cutting and colour coating.
