Notes
No one could mistake these for bricks. Their lack of colour alone gives the game away. But are they as rough as bricks? As heavy? By paying close attention to objects we usually ignore, the artist invites us to do the same. By changing the form and context of those objects, he prompts us to rethink our habitual assumptions about them. His work has no great meaning, he says: his aim is just “learning how to see” in an age when “the only thing certain is uncertainty”.
